Founder Jason Yoo, expanded his company's business reach into real estate development in the spring of 2008, when the Houston Airport System awarded JDDA the right to create a 28 acre, one-of-a-kind, mixed-use commercial development at George Bush Intercontinental Airport. Competing against local and regional development firms, JDDA's creative proposal surfaced to the top and launched the firms entry into this dynamic sector.
This premier development estimated at approximately 500,000 sf will include a blend of hospitality, extended stay, office, financial and retail properties in a unique and verdant setting.
The commercial center, located at the northeast corner of JFK Boulevard and Rankin Road, is scheduled for ground breaking in 2009. It will serve Bush Intercontinental, the 4th largest airport in the nation, by creating a mixed-use environment designed to complement the airport's business and pleasure traveler and the surrounding community as well.

In 1979, company founder Jason Yoo had a drive to start his own business and the city of Houston offered him a rich and fertile environment in which to do so. Beginning with little more than a handful of part-time employees and a fervent desire to stake his claim, Mr. Yoo combined hard work, customer service and attention to detail into a winning formula in the janitorial trade. Building the business one client at a time, the service grew annually as profits were reinvested and necessary skills were learned to enter into the more technical segments of the maintenance industry.
Within a matter of years, this start up venture won building maintenance contracts in medical, nuclear, refinery, construction, educational and commercial fields. What began as a local business soon gave way to a prominent southern state region corporation. Through the years the management team has utilized economic models and productivity applications to increase efficiencies and optimize resources, but what made the company successful in the beginning is still true today…..customer service, dedication and value.
In an effort to expand the building maintenance services of the company, founder Jason Yoo created JDDA Facility Group to provide janitorial services to federal, municipal, county and state government agencies. The firm meets certification criteria as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned and Small Disadvantaged Business and is registered with the Small Business Administration. In addition, the company has been awarded a GSA Schedule Contract - GS07F0101U and a TXMAS Contract - TXMAS- 8-730100.
What began as a specialty facility maintenance service has now grown to include property management, remodeling and construction for VA hospitals, military bases, airports, agencies and private companies. Through the years the management team has utilized economic models and productivity applications to increase efficiencies and optimize resources, but what made the company successful in the beginning is still true today ... customer service, dedication and value.
JDDA Food Group is currently studying and examining a variety of restaurant and fast food concepts and operations with a view to both acquisition and start up opportunities. Hands-on experience gained through JDDA Concessions Management at Houston's Bush Intercontinental Airport, contribute to the Food Group's insight into this industry. Currently plans are in place for entry into this market segment in 2009.
The travel food and beverage industry caught founder Jason Yoo’s attention in 2005 while studying the concession management operations at George Bush Intercontinental Airport. An opportunity to acquire the remaining 2 ½ years of an existing concessions contract in Terminal C was all that was needed to jump start his firm into this ever growing sector. A quick study, JDDA learned how to balance space constraints, logistical needs, a 24/7 demanding marketplace within a challenging customer service environment. The firm’s return on investment was confirmed within its first operating season as sales increased a remarkable 17% year to year.
Today, JDDA Concession Management continues its ambitious plans to develop into one of the region’s leading resources in food travel operations and management. Its Bush Intercontinental Airport operations has recently been awarded an extension on the 20,000+ square feet under management establishing it as one of the two major concessionaires at the airport. Over the ensuing year JDDA will supervise a $15 million dollar remodeling and renovation budget destined to make Houston’s facility one of the best in the nation.
As a minority owned business, JDDA recognizes the value of diversity and currently leases many of its locations to resident minority operators. Current and future operations include The Palm, El Pinto, Panda Express, Wendy’s, Jamba Juice, Le Grand Comptoir, Panapolis, Einstein’s Bagle, Starbucks and many other local and national brands.
